Help us raise $100,000 for NSW Socialists’ first state election campaign

In March 2027, NSW Socialists will contest the NSW state election for the first time. We’re preparing campaigns in Auburn, Granville, Newtown, Summer Hill, Wallsend and Wollongong, alongside a Legislative Council run.

To reach tens of thousands of people across NSW with a real socialist alternative, we need to raise $100,000 from members and supporters.

◤ Why this election matters

This election comes at a time when more and more people can see that the system is failing them.

After more than a decade of Liberal rule, Labor promised change. Instead, Chris Minns has governed from the right: attacking protest rights and union campaigns, holding down wages, backing developers, and policing dissent while working class people are smashed by rising rents, tolls and bills, and our public services are underfunded and overcrowded.

At the same time, One Nation’s noxious brand of racist politics is gaining traction. But Labor and the political centre are no answer to that. Labor does not just defend a system that is failing ordinary people, it runs it. They have overseen deepening inequality, attacks on workers’ living standards and worsening racism - policing First Nations people, demonising Arabs and Muslims, and attacking the Palestine movement.

NSW needs an openly socialist force: anti-capitalist and committed to fighting for a society run for people, not profit.

That is what this campaign is about.

We want to put a different kind of politics on the ballot. We want to use this election to argue for working-class solidarity over racism, public housing over developer greed, protest and resistance over repression, and public services run for need instead of profit.
